Gather your passion for philanthropy and join us in the vibrant city of San Diego, CA, for the 2024 Biennial Philoptochos Convention.
Hosted amidst the sun-kissed beaches and dynamic energy of Southern California, this gathering
promises to be a celebration of community, compassion, and commitment to service. From engaging workshops and inspiring keynote speakers, the convention offers a unique opportunity for members of the Philoptochos society to come together, exchange ideas, and renew their dedication to making a difference in the lives of those in need. Join us in San Diego, CA as we unite in our shared mission to embody the spirit of philanthropy and create a brighter future of Philoptochos.
The chosen theme for the Clergy-Laity Congress and our Convention is "In Christ, We Are One," a profound reflection drawn from Romans 12:4-5. This theme reminds us of the unity we share as members of the body of Christ and the transformative impact we can collectively achieve when united in purpose.
This Convention provides a unique and extraordinary opportunity for Philoptochos delegates to reaffirm their commitment to our noble mission, fortify the bonds of sisterhood, and together plan for the future of our cherished organization.
While the immeasurable benefits of this Convention are abundantly evident, the associated costs are significant and extend beyond the reach of registration fees alone. To ensure the resounding success of this gathering, we humbly seek the support of generous sponsors like you to help share and underwrite some of the associated expenses. Your help and support are crucial, and we are counting on you.

The 2024 National Philoptochos Biennial Convention is a business meeting attended by Hierarchs and Clergy. Business attire, such as a dress, skirt, and top, or dress slacks and top, is appropriate. Please keep in mind that the venue will be air-conditioned.
Grand Banquet Attire: We will dine at sunset and then enjoy the largest fireworks show in California. Patriotic cocktail attire with a light jacket or wrap is suggested. High heels are not recommended, as we will be outside on the Eventide lawn. Please wear flat-soled shoes for your comfort and safety.
The Midway Event: The USS Midway is an enormous and impressive vessel. This festive evening will celebrate and honor our military, so dress casually. However, since the ship is docked in the bay, it may be breezy on the flight deck. Please wear sensible tennis shoes or sturdy walking shoes (no sandals or heels). Feel free to wear your personal military regalia as we thank you for your service to our country!
The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina features a Market & Cafe where you can grab snacks throughout the day or enjoy a selection of beverages, including Starbucks. It is open daily from 6:00 am to 1:30 am. Other dining options available on-premises can be found here.
